How do you dispose of used sharps bins - should it go to the G.P. or the hospital clinic?
B. Smith

In my experience every local area is different. I would suggest speaking to your diabetes team as they should be able to tell you what the local policy is.

what is the recommended test reading for a type 2
r smith

This is not as straight forward a question as it sounds. The Understanding NICE Guidance for Type 2 diabetes published in May 2008 (which can be found at www.nice.org.uk) says that depending on your individual circumstances your negotiated HbA1c could be as low as 6.5%. I would strongly suggest that everyone should speak to their diabetes team to negotiate a target that is realistic for their circumstances and ask how to achieve it.

Hi, i use the Optium Xceed blood testing kit. How can i get hold of some ketone testing strips? Thanks.
Matt Wright

Hi Matt, You can ask your diabetes team to ask your G.P. to add it to your prescription or ask your G.P. directly. Thanks
