Two models available:
1-21 units;dialing in units of 1
2-42 units:dialing in units of 2
Instructions for Use
1. Remove the cap and unscrew the body from the cartridge holder
2. Make sure the plunger is fully retracted.
3. Disinfect the rubber membrane of the insulin cartridge. Make sure the membrane is dry. Load the insulin cartridge into the holder, metal cap first.
4. Screw the cartridge holder and body firmly together again.
5. Screw the needle firmly onto the thread at the end of the cartridge holder. Remove the protective cap from the needle.
6. It is important to to ‘prime’ the Autopen before use. Twist the dose selector until the number 4 on the scale matches the arrow on the body. Dial 6 units then 2 units to initially prime the pen.
7. Push the release button down towards the needle. Repeat 6 & 7 until a large drop of insulin appears at the needle tip. The Autopen is now ready for use.
8.Make sure the dose selector is at zero and then dial up the number of units required. The dose selector measures up to 32 units of insulin in 2 unit steps. Make sure before injecting that the arrow points towards the correct number of insulin units on the dose selector.
9. Inject the needle, push and hold down the release button towards the needle until the dose selector returns to zero. This delivers the dose. Recap and unscrew the needle, replace the cap.
