The Cell Robotics Lasette
The Cell Robotics Lasette is based upon the use of a single pulse of laser light, which ablates a tiny hole through the upper layers of the skin. In trials many patients report feeling less pain resulting from using the Lasette as compared to traditional lancet devices with blood sample size being sufficient for analysis. On the downside, the cost of the device is £817/Adult, £795/under 20’s. The Lasette has 120 uses per cartridge, replacement cartridges are £21.42 per pack of two.
