Installing the test drum

1. With the meter turned off, open the drum compartment by sliding the release button on the right side of the meter in the direction indicated by the arrow.

2. Remove a new drum from the vial. Keep this vial until the drum loaded in the meter is empty. When performing a control test, you will need to refer to the expected values printed on the vial label.

3. Insert the new drum by sliding it onto the plastic post located inside the drum compartment.

4. Close the drum compartment. The meter automatically moves the drum to the correct position and reads the code on the drum

Testing for glucose

1. Press the on/off button. A test strip will automatically advance from the dru7m

2. Wait until the flashing hand symbol and blood drop appear in the display and apply the blood. The blood is drawn into the test strip automatically.

Proper blood application

Obtain a small drop of blood in the usual way and hold the meter so that the test strip points downward at a slight angle. Gently touch and hold the blood drop to the black notch on the front edge of the test strip. The blood is drawn into the test strip automatically. Do not move the finger away until the 000 is displayed and the meter beeps. The test will commence as soon as enough blood has been obtained. The result is stored in the memory.

Test strip removal

Hold the meter straight up with the strip pointing down. Press the on/off button to turn off the meter and release the used test strip. Do not open the drum compartment when the motor is running.

The meter has a memory facility of 100 test results. When cleaning the meter or the display is dirty, wipe with a damp cloth.
